My experience drinking Pilsner Urquell
Sweet and malty taste with a bitter finish. It might be the first ever Pilsner but it is certainly not the best out there. I am not sure where I fall in the gluten tolerance spectrum; I am gluten intolerant but not celiac. I definitely know what it feels like to be “glutened” i.e. gluten exposure, but I have not deliberately pushed my gluten consumption limits with any food or beer. I consumed this 12 oz. bottle in 30 minutes feeling no gluten effects.
Recently a new gluten free beer has been launched by the brewery of St. Feuillien from Belgium. It's name Grisette Blond and has an alcohol percentage of 5,5%. This beer as well as the Monastery beer from Orval are both below 20 ppm of gluten.

Deleteand it contains barley so would not qualify as gluten-free in the US.
I've had Orval before but did not know it was under 20 ppm gluten, so it will be tested here at some point in the future.
According to a quite scientific Swedish test (conducted by their FDA), the Pilsner Urquell scored well below 20 ppm.

Best gluten free beer out there is Lammsbräu!- that s of cource my subjective opinion but u could all give it a go!
ReplyDeletenot best out there???..what a moronic statement...there is no other true Pilsner in the world...all the others are unjustly using the name Pilsner for their "benefit of the doubt" in their fake Pilsners ...there can be only one true Pilsner, the one brewed in city of Pilsen(Plzen).....thus Pilsner...and if you think this is not the best Pilsner in the world you are no beer connoisseur…loser!
